I miss RiF. The jerboa app is a godsend for me on here and I will never go back to Reddit ever again...
That’s impossible, one of the core features of Apollo was that it was lightweight, no ads. Public for profit companies are unable to do that.
I mean even ignoring ads, the ui for the official reddit app is an abject dumpster fire, and lacks core functionality like moderation tools
As much as I loath advertising, the ads really weren't the biggest issue with the official app 😅. The nonsensical tangled-web-of-spaghetti layout, dogshit ux, and inability to provide core functionality needed by some of its most vital users were

That’s what I’m using! It’s great. Definitely has that Apollo feel.
The beta also supports PieFed
Piefed support works on stable.

Can't speak for iOS, but hello from Voyager stable on Android & piefed.zip!
It’s still in testing on iOS, I believe (I’m on the test version, and have a piefed account I use it with)
It’s still needing work, though, like if you refresh your feed it forgets viewed and hidden posts, makes everything show as new again. It works, but not super well.

I keep meaning to switch to Voyager from Sync, but I'm lazy and bad with change
I've enjoyed being on Lemmy and almost never thinking about that jailbait-lovin, greedy, piece of shit billionaire.
By building I mean by reporting bugs, donating and supporting the developers.

For sure great app. He did get weirdly snippy about Voyager looking exactly like Apollo, but he was hurt at the time I suppose.
