Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

When a US President posts an AI video which literally shows him shitting on the country, it's a real sign that he's lost support.

Seems like the pedo-in-chief is rather upset about 2% of the country coming out, in person, to spend many hours showing they don't like him.

Even a mush-brained dumbass like Taco has to know that for every person that showed up, there are many others that didn't go for whatever reason - maybe they didn't have a ride, or they are disabled, or they had conflicting obligations (work, family, etc), and not because they don't also dislike him.

Trump is barely even a "thing" anymore. He's hardly in there. The next major target of our ire, insults and condemnation needs to be the Wormtongue In Chief, the Head Manipulator, Stephen Miller (and a few others) who sit behind Trump and guide his hands and whisper in his ears "It's not real, it's all computer!" and they then go on to tell him how loved he is, how much power he has, how easily he could do this and that, and utterly curate and control what he sees and hears from the outside world... it's been leaked that this is exactly what's happening, and it's obvious.

Pedo in chief caught me off guard so I have to make a couple more.

Pedophile of the United States (potus)

Pedophile General

Just wondering where the other 98% of the country is, though

I know that a good part of that is maga, of course they won't show up, but seriously?2%? We're prettyuch at Germany 1939 and most people must can't be arsed to show up?

And a single day peaceful protest? Again? If you're going to do peaceful then do it all day , every day, non stop, until trump is gone. A single protest isn't going to do anything unless you get 10+% of the country to show up

The marches in my area were also like two hours long.

We need them to be all day events, and we need to start having speakers.

Both of the events here in Madison involved marching to the state capital building for a rally. They were well organized, with an appropriate public address system, and a whole roster of speakers. Bernie Sanders called in to the first rally to address us.

We need to be screaming in the streets.

We need to be tipping over shit.

We need to be breaking windows of small businesses and setting fucking fires.

And setting fucking fires.

And setting fucking fires!

They literally can't open the government right now because they'll have to open the Epstein files. Which also means they lose most of their campaign funds.

[–] silence7@slrpnk.net 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Federal campaign funds are provided by private donations, not from the government.

[–] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If the gop opens the epstein files, they'll have to arrest those private donors.

Can't pardon state crimes, and even Maga is sick of the pedophile crap.

They've been doing lots of stuff they " can't". And MAGA doesn't seem to have a "red line".

Republicans Know How Vulnerable Trump Is. The Attacks on No Kings Prove It.

This is just bad reporting, because Republicans dont think Trump is "vulnerable." Republicans are only further emboldened because the "no kings" thing did absolutely nothing... it accomplished nothing... it was a big party to hate on trump. This article is trying to save face because now that the protests are over, because nothing has changed... and nothing will change. For better or worse. Like it or not. It is what it is.

His NOT invoking the Insurrection-Act on them, .. bodes ill.

He's working on something MUCH worse.

Time is running out, for civil-rights, in the US of A, fast.
