Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Why put "murdering" in quotes? Regardless of what those people were using the boat for, they got murdered in cold blood. In a civilized society, people would have a right to a trial if they are accused of anything.

[–] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 3 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

But they are "brown" "people".

[–] raspberriesareyummy@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago

I think everyone here gets the logic of the fascists in charge - my question was to OP - as someone posting here on lemmy, we might as well use the proper words.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 48 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

I mean. Yeah...

That's clearly what it was, because instead of pressing charges on recent survivors, they're sending them back home. That's why theyre bombing them in the first place instead of arresting them and trying to get them to flip, there's no one for them to flip on, because they're not drug smugglers.

They didn't want it to come out in a trial in America, so now Columbia will likely try to bring it thru international courts.

Even if they were drug smugglers, under what law does the USA have the right to kill them? If someone smuggles heroin from Hong Kong to the UK will Americans murder them?

[–] MelodiousFunk@slrpnk.net 7 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Depends on how brown they are.

[–] QuoVadisHomines@sh.itjust.works 2 points 15 hours ago

The sad part is Im not sure which part you are replying to as either or both wouldbe correct.

Extra judicial killings are also known as lynching. Why the quotes on murdering, that is exactly what it is.

[–] Lembot_0004@discuss.online 13 points 20 hours ago

Citation, I suppose.

[–] Mediocre_Bard@lemmy.world 12 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah? The world governments should really get on that. Apply heavy sanctions and infiltrate the populace to foment violent revolution against the billionaire class and warmongers who feed off the suffering of everyone else.

[–] LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net 7 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago)

Implying there is any world government that is anti-billionaire: lol

It certainly looks like we’re using them for target practice. There’s a way to go about drug trafficking, and it’s not missile strikes.

[–] real_squids@sopuli.xyz 1 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

The only ones deserving of missile strikes are fent smugglers. /s

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 4 points 20 hours ago

If we killed them, they must have been violent criminals!

[–] Zephorah@discuss.online 5 points 20 hours ago

Fair.

I think the likeliest answer is we have men with the emotional intelligence of 13 year olds running this show, they have big toys they can play with, and they did just that.

Strange new habit Trump has. Did these people cut off his, his immediate family, and the WH staff's Cocaine supply? The only thing that makes sense.
