Thank you so much for allowing blocking of communities and fading post that Iβve already read. Itβs incredible how quickly youβve given us updates and made Lemmy my go to over the last couple weeks. But the last couple updates have been amazing!

It's kind of generic though isn't it? I liked wefwef it was pretty fun
Honestly, the name was a big reason I downloaded it, along with how active the developers have been. I keep forgetting the names of the other apps. Wefwef stood out, along with the cute mouse.
It seems like the users are happy with the name change, and I'm excited for the devs to be working on their finished concept.
Will Voyager be available in app stores?
Itβs a web app so thereβs no point
There is a point because its much easier to get people to start using an app they can get from app stores. Also lots of apps are built as web apps regardless
I meant itβs a pwa so you can add it to your Home Screen and it will act like a native app
Again, most people browse through apps and find apps on the App Store.
Itβs pointless to pay to get on the app stores when the apps work perfectly fine as a web app. Also most people will eventually find out about wefwef/voyage since itβs getting recommended everywhere.
You guys are kicking some serious ass with the updates and features.
I moved back to android off ios and the only real app I missed was apollo, so this is really scratching that itch!
I am still looking forward to sync for lemmy, but honestly with the rate that this is being worked on with this passion, I may just have to stick with weyager
What made you switch the name? I always felt wefwef pretty cool and less risky to run into copyright/trademark problems than with your new name.
However: Fantastic app, I will stay!
Went to wefwef.app, started using it on iOS and added it to my homescreen. Turns out, the name was voyager instead of wefwef. You can imagine I was very confused about it before doing some digging.
I agree, the old name was more fun.
I love the new app name, thanks for helping me not need to type WefWef except for this one last time. You absolutely rock!

Web apps controlling on-screen keyboards cross platform is really difficult, unfortunately!
This is a much better name. I love the reference to Apollo.

Is anything changing for the docker version of the app?

Yes, the repository changed name. I did substitute wefwef with voyager and everything is fine and updated to the latest version.

Anyone have any idea why when I try to log in it, it says "email not verified. Request a new verification email" or something along those lines? I don't even know how to request that verification email.
I have been able to log into Lemmy through the website on my desktop, but have not been able to log in through any of the apps (wefwef, Connect and another one that starts with J). I get similar error messages on all of them even though I can clearly post here on my desktop. I have changed my password at least 4 times now thinking maybe it was too complex. I have triple checked my password when typing it into the app. It says "lemmy.world" at the top of the page here, so I am going to assure that's the Instance I am supposed to pick. I don't know what else I might be doing wrong.
Do I need to change anything? I still have a PWA icon on my home screen called wefwef. Will that still get updates? Will it eventually change to voyager?
You can keep it and you will still get updates, but PWAs will keep the same old icon and name until/if you remove and re-add to homescreen
I will forever remember this as wefwef

And I still can't log into my lemmy.world account through this. Still not a big deal since I'm waiting for sync, but I don't get it. The same credentials work everywhere else.
By the way is the name referring to a certain star trek movie?
I donβt have any issue on iOS/Safari for lemmy.world, whatβs your OS and browser?
The name is a reference to the NASA missons (Apollo > Voyager), which is also referenced in Star Trek so itβs related in a sense.
I tried on android with mull browser and chrome and windows with firefox and chrome. They all say my password is incorrect, but going directly to lemmy.world works fine.
And yeah I'm aware of the apollo/voyager connection, but the character specifically refers to itself as "VGER" like vger.app. That's why I thought of star trek.
Uh, this is awkward. I still have Voyager the crypto app that went bankrupt installed.
