Racing returns to Spain with the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana :) Usually a fun race in typical undulating and hilly Spanish terrain.

  • 31/01 Stage 1 | Benicássim - Castellón (167 km)
  • 01/02 Stage 2 | Canals - Mancom de la Valldigna (162.7 km)
  • 02/02 Stage 3 | San Vicente del Raspeig - Orihuela (161.3 km)
  • 03/02 Stage 4 | Teulada Moraira - Vall d'Ebo (175.2 km)
  • 04/02 Stage 5 | Bétera - Valencia (93 km)

I really liked watching the Volta Valenciana last year, it usually has a nice course. I couldn't find it anywhere this year except for the usual black-market places and some probably bootlegged French- or Spanish-language highlights on YouTube. It's a shame, it's a good race and deserves better coverage. I'm really feeling the loss of GCN+.

I'm watching it on Discovery, they have good coverage in Denmark at least

Ah, that's probably where I could get it in the U.S., but I've resisted subscribing to the service that charges 3x what GCN+ cost for fewer races, and I don't like what David Zaslav has done to the company, chopping it up for parts, trying to kill TCM, and trying to turn CNN into a right-leaning Fox News lite.
