Each Dixie boy must understand that he must mind his Uncle Sam.

I grew up in Fairfield County, Ohio. We were told in school that if we ever went to Georgia we should say we were from somewhere else.

Where I come from we don't just "stand up" to racist, we burn your shit down.

Ohio has been having some issues lately though.

[–] Lime66@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Why would you say that? I'm confused

saying that you were from somewhere else. does that mean saying you weren't from the us or saying you weren't from georgia? and also, why?

A guy from ( Fairfield County) burned down the state of Georgia during the civil war. Sacked Atlanta, and kept going.

So, check out that fruit guy who replied, he's from Georgia and got all pissy because in Fairfield City ( Butler County, a good distance from Fairfield County) there's a Jungle Jim's and they banned pitbulls, but really that's just a mask for him to wear to be racist.

A lot of those confederate statues got built in the 1950s and 1960s during the Civil rights movement.

the only thing i regret about my family not coming to america until the 1930s is that we didn't get to partake in confederate scum extermination.

There's still plenty of Confederate cosplayers, just go anywhere somewhat rural and you'll find them.

Alright, but hear me out. There is one that we shouldn't destroy simply because of how funny it is.

[–] Stamets@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The Confederate States definitely. But also all of the US.

Great short video [4 minutes] about it from Trevor Noah: https://youtu.be/RjTu1NmQLP8

Plus yanno, stealing Texas from Mexico.

[–] gdbjr@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago

I’m ok if we want to just give Texas back to Mexico. Will solve lots of issues.

Clubbing and killing off competing tribes while rubbing bodily fluids all over me is part of my heritage.
