I'm working on a presentation about the Fediverse, and would like to end the presentation with a slogan. Any ideas?

Edit: I probably should've specified more stuff. This is an informative presentation, not persuasive, and I don't plan to get into the enshittification. Ideally I don't want to include any corporations.

Edit 2: My title is "The Future is Everywhere"

How about "There is no fediverse slogan, that's the point."

[–] NorthWestWind@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago

Wait, this one's a good concept.

It's like a donut - there's no center

[–] ElPussyKangaroo@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Glorious, like the hole in the wall.

[–] HerbalGamer@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You could put your dick in it.

[–] ElPussyKangaroo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Nah. It's made for a purpose glorious-er than that.

Seize the means of connection.

@NorthWestWind came in here to give you my favourite fediverse slogan and realized it might be too glib given your title but anyway:

THE FUTURE IS FEDERATED

[–] NorthWestWind@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

You made me realized my title is already the best slogan.

"The new religion, the electric church — the only way to go"

It depends on your audience's tech literacy. Emphasize connecting people if they're illiterate, emphasize fixing what web 2.0 broke with monetization if they're literate.

[–] NorthWestWind@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

They are my engineering classmates, but I doubt they know enough about web 2.0

[–] radix@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Twitter? I hardly know 'er!

Also, it's pretty cool that you're making a presentation on this. Is it for class?

[–] NorthWestWind@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

It is. Gonna present that to my fellow engineering classmates.

“It’s what social media would be if it were invented by the same folks who invented email.”

[–] NorthWestWind@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

This is already part of my intro

[–] VizualWarrior@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How about... "Fuck it, we ball!" ?

[–] NorthWestWind@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Preferably, no swearing.

[–] Emperor@feddit.uk 4 points 1 year ago

All to one, one to all.

ChatGPT responses: (probably stolen from some other presentation):

"Connecting Diverse Minds, One Federation at a Time: The Fediverse – Where Decentralization Sparks Unity."

"Decentralize, Unify: Fediverse – Where Connections Flourish Beyond Boundaries."

[–] NorthWestWind@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)

These sound more like titles of academic papers than slogans

[–] livus@kbin.social 5 points 1 year ago

@NorthWestWind I've been saying for a while now that Chat GPT writes exactly like an undergraduate student.

Something just clicked for me. It probably uses Turnitin.com data as a training material.

Diversity of views and unity of purpose

[–] Pixel@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 1 year ago

Nice idea but I don't think it works. There's a lot of group think going on and defederating from instances with differing views.

"Monkey Tennis"

[–] Spot@startrek.website 2 points 1 year ago

I am horrible at these things so I asked chat gpt and it's suggestion is "Connect, Create, Collaborate: Empowering Communities on Lemmy!"

[–] DrBob@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 year ago

"Haven't we put up with enough shit?"

[–] Binette@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Hi NWW!

How about: "Making a new Internet, connection by connection"
