I am a lurker at heart, but I thought I should help get things going. This is a chest for my timber framing/carpentry tools. Inspired by the plans in the anarchists tool chest. Ripping was done in the bandsaw, otherwise its hand tools only.

Nice work! Hoping to see this community take off.

Gonna be honest. My initial thought: that's a wooden sarcophagus. I think it's the perspective and aesthetic.

Nice job on the dividers.

Looks really good! I love your workshop, looks like a nice space to be in. The pillar drill in the background looks huge, do you metal work too?

I used to have my own tool and die making shop. Took the drill home when I sold the shop. It is quite stout.

Such gorgeous work here! I'm so glad you decided to post. I'm also in love with your workshop it is so pretty. Are the tools on the wall affixed? It doesn't seem like it's a french cleat situation but I'm not sure. I have an axe on the wall like yours but I prefer how you did it. I'll get a pic of mine later for you.

Thanks. They are fixed for now. The plan is to put it all in tool chests. A small one thats easy to carry for slöjd stuff, the one I'm building now for carpentry stuff (movable by sack truck), and a large proper "Anarchist's Tool chest" on wheels for furniture tools.

It is a swedish word for handicrafts. Derrived from an old word for "clever". In woodworking it usually means working with green wood and making everyday items like spoons, spreaders and shrink pots. Often utilising the different properties of wood like bends, shrinkage, etc. I have seen it spelled slojd in English.
