Return YouTube Dislike still works pretty damn well using crowd sourced data.
Yeah, YouTube vanced still has a working dislike button, that's what I use.
That actually is return YouTube dislikes, just integrated into the app :)
My “favorite” is when they start every video with “in this video, I’m gonna talk about”. It’s like: no shit, why I clicked on it.
I just can't with video tutorials. It's text or nothing for me. I don't have the patience (or stamina) to sit through 100 crappy/useless videos to finally find one that's relevant to my problem.
Text + images is the best combination, though sometimes videos allow you to see that one very specific thing that written tutorials don’t mention because it should be self evident.
So true. For some reason I prefer text, probably because I can search through it quicker but when there's no images its harder.
Like a recent example, I was missing a bunch of collectibles in a game and couldn't figure out what location was where from the wiki and it was without images, so even trickier. I then had to find a video walkthrough which luckily had the YouTube timestamps meaning I could quickly flick through once I knew I had each one.
There's a video out there for modding Doom II and the kid that made it is just completely fed up with everyone else's tutorials. He starts off with something like "it does not take 20 fucking minutes to explain how to add a goddamn DOOR!" and his video is just five minutes, explains it all, and bitches the entire time about how easy it is.
It's great.
Don't forget to to set the "lower unpegged" flag for your door frames :)
Link? Would love to see that.
I think I found it, it was actually just a little over a minute long https://youtu.be/syIDpalKzeQ
Lol yeah that's it. It's barely even a minute long, that's way better than I remembered it.
Thanks!
That seemed rather easy. How do you stretch that information to 10 minutes?
I can't find it, wish I could. I have no idea who it was and I stumbled on it while going down a rabbit hole learning how to map months ago.

My favorite tutorials are on like the 5th page of Google after all the ads and clickbait videos where I can find a short, to the point, written guide.
I miss GameFAQs. I know it's still around but it's not really updated for new games.
