Nebraska Spider-Man needs this:

Ballooning, sometimes called kiting, is a process by which spiders, and some other small invertebrates, move through the air by releasing one or more gossamer threads to catch the wind, causing them to become airborne...

Sounds leisurely!

Basically what you do in Just Cause.

Was gonna make a comment about webs as a sling shot and gliding but clearly nature has a way better solution.

Or like Wonder Woman in that terrible sequel where she just suddenly whips across the clouds.

If only he had some skills of a spider

[–] sbv@sh.itjust.works 1 points 10 months ago

maybe wind was blowing other way

He's out of breath because being in a car-dependent area doesn't afford him opportunities for exercise.

I thought ir would be city nerd lol

[–] Klear@lemmy.world 37 points 10 months ago (2 children)

This is an actual plot point of some old Spider-Man stories.

[–] Demdaru@lemmy.world 13 points 10 months ago

Also, old spider man 2 for PS2. God I hate the parks and low raise buildings in that game.

Wasn't there another character that had something similar happen?

They were lured into an environment where their powers would be useless and they're just like "pfft bitch thought" and started ripping shit straight outta the ground.

I wanna say magneto but I honestly can't remember

[–] Vcio@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I think it was static shock, he rips pipes under a park i guess...

[–] ThatWeirdGuy1001@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

That sounds accurate.

[–] Klear@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

I think I saw something like that. Maybe even multiple times. Always awesome.

Unfortunately, a corn stalk can only get you so far.

Nebraska Spidermen make do

[–] evranch@lemmy.ca 24 points 10 months ago

Super unrealistic!

Fat Spiderman could never get a cab out here on the Prairies, he would show up in a battered farm truck and empty beer cans would fall out when he opened the door

[–] riodoro1@lemmy.world 20 points 10 months ago (1 children)

The robber looks properly confused

I need...Nebraska ~~Spiderman~~ Spider-Man

Respect the hyphen!

It's The Stig's American cousin!
