Just a note to spread the word: Lemmy (for some reason) doesn't have a feature that simply says "This instance has signups disabled." It will still show you the signup page, and it will spin infinitely, but it will never actually go through if the signups are disabled.

It feels weird to say welcome. I literally just got in recently as well.

Now that I think of it, when I get to a real life party and someone arrives at the same time, I also say "welcome" with pride and confidence as if I'm the host just to be friendly and ease any tension.

Just so you know, those accounts might have been created. There’s some issues right now with write requests (registrations, new posts, comments) not looking like they go through but they do. If you get stuck on loading for 5 seconds or more just try refreshing and you should be good.
