Arc lash+chain lightning is also pretty decent.

Had fun with this for a bit, but drops pushed me to ice shards. Just so much more damage to frozen/vulnerable/chill gear than crit chance. And if you’re going to focus on frozen and vulnerable, which is just about required imo, stacking ice shards levels makes the most sense due to its enchantment.
Why arc lash? Seems like you should be moving of you're in melee range?
For leveling it's great for stun and proccung ultimate.
I hope they unnerf hydra, and buff some fire skills like fireball and meteor to make fire builds more viable, right now ice shards and arc lash are simply doing the most damage compare to other builds, and much easier to manage mana as well.
I started ice shards sorceror recently as well. Powerfull but still struggling with mana a bit.
I don't know who Kripparian is, but I just looked at the leveling guides at maxroll.gg and the Firewall build looked the most fun, and I am indeed enjoying it. What did you not like about it?
It's extremely slow if played poorly due to how damage over time works in Diablo 4. Mobs were constantly running out of my Firewall, I made lots of snapshotting mistakes, etc.
As an Ice Shards Sorc I just teleport into a group of enemies, pop my frost nova, cast barrier and ice shards and everything is dead in a second.
