Simple solution.

The driver got in the car to take a nap. Truned on the heater and fell asleep. Car got hot, melted the ice and sank into the earth...

PSA - Reminder for your safety as well as others, always clear all the ice and snow from your car before you even think about sinking into the earth

Obviously some kind of 2015s hover conversion.

That still looks really good considering the technology of the era.

proof Hairy Potter is real

Hairy Potter

Thanks for the laugh!

Edit: to expand on the idea: Hairy Potter is a spin-off where the protagonist is played by Ron Perlman. All the other students are regular kids. Nobody ever raises the subject.

Sorry about that, just a little transporter mishap.

I'll get it sorted right away.

pats pattern buffer gently

There is a faint pattern of tracks leaving. Ground temperature is too high to support ice but air temp is sufficiently cold if ice is suspended by thickness or a layer formed when snow fell faster than the melting rate. Snow is falling at too slow of a rate to accumulate and overcome the wet ground. The vehicle tires did not fully melt the snow like the person's shoes, which is the largest anomaly... I think

With the new AI Photoshop, it will be harder to use this technique to find fakes. Instead you'll have to notice that the snow has six fingers on it's second left hand.

Give it a year and you will have to tell by the brand placements.

Those two splotches are similar but not the same.

In general it's hard to really tell anything because the image has been compressed to hell, which is really a red flag all by itself

[–] Live_your_lives@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

But then how do you explain the footprints?

[–] j4k3@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Snow monkeys

[–] Zacryon@feddit.org 6 points 2 months ago

It's clearly a flying car.
