The free encyclopedia that anyone can edit

I don't think its actually that easy to get something accepted that their moderators feel isn't noteworthy. They catch and shutdown joe blows and randos doing that all the time. Don't let the anyone can edit thing fool you, it is known to be far more top-down than bottom-up.

For better and for worse

The notability guidelines mainly apply to full articles, not casual mentions within an article. The title of this post led me to believe an article got approved, not an outdated (at the time of this comment) blurb about apps and their development status. I've made many minor edits to articles over the years.

The wrong wiki is linked, but here is the right one if anyone is interested! Wiki:Lemmy

Edit: nevermind, wrong article is linking because of a bug in Lemmy.

Is it because of the parentheses? I wonder if URL encoded link works instead?

edit this works for me in Memmy.

Doesn’t work for me in Memmy

[–] helloharu@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

There’s some real inconsistencies somewhere in either Lemmy or Memmy then, it still works for me. Curious.
