I'm an American and both my parents are huge and in terrible health. Lugging hundreds of extra pounds (2.2 per Kilo) is hell on your body.

In Anarchist circles, there are some people who worry about theory and there are some people who worry about keeping the community pantry stocked. The Communists I see online tend to devote most of their attention to theory.

You're thinking of privateers. Pirates were usually on the bottom wrong of society in an occupation were they could face an enormous amount of abuse if the Captain or Officers were tyrants. Lots of pirates started out as mutineers.
