Adversarial isn't the right word but the beginning of your comment was dismissive of an individuals actions and impact. It seems like an honest mistake but this sentence specifically is not helpful:

Yes, a major societal shift must occur but do you know how that happens? A significant number of individuals making a choice to act. By implying an individuals actions are "a drop in the ocean" you are discouraging people to act by implying it's pointless. You are hurting the cause, not helping it.
