Setting aside the funny (if you're not affected) coincidence of AWS being down I have to say this is an exemplary way on how upgrades should be announced, executed and documented. There is a migration guide, but even if you don't read it - in most cases the software will take care of it itself. Well done!

Is your server running on UTC? Depending on your location midnight UTC could also be 8 AM and it could be a user with a very regular morning schedule.

Only you can find out which machine is sending this request...

I don't see why this would be funny or weird. It isn't like Apple where there would be no other devices to use them…

And you used this technique in every one of them?

I've had a bunch of different smart plugs, but as of today I only use the Shelly ones. They never failed me, have hardly any delay, are very configurable (if needed) and I even converted some of my wall plugs to Shelly devices.

At the moment (I am willing to change my opinion if that changes) Google has announced that for your personal use you won't need to submit any ID. This just shows me you haven't even read the whole thing, but just the headline and your opinion on this was set.

Does this happen to anyone else? As soon as I open the post (it's in the !selfhosted@lemmy.world community) I briefly see the contents and then Boost crashes. So it could be a comment causing this or the post itself when fully loaded. I'm using a Pixel 6 with Android 14.

I am currently using Bring! with my wife to organize our grocery shopping. I am looking for a self hosted alternative. I looked at the awesome self-hosted list and tried Specifically Clementines and of course Grocy. I like that Grocy also includes meal planning although the whole inventory management is too much for us. What I don't like is the interface for both of them. I don't see us using this while in the store with a kid on the arm. It is way too fiddly and complicated. Also adding new items to the list is rather complicated in both apps.

Do you have any suggestions for other projects with a more user friendly interface (even if it means less features)?
