Totally unrelated but the way you explained it sounds like the plot of Full Metal Alchemist.
Play 1 & 2 again or if you want to get introduced into the series those are the ones to play oh and the Tiny Tina spin offs are good.
Idiocracy is an underrated movie that proved it's point almost 20 years ago... just water it with Brawndo...
