I usually hear vers in a broader top/bottom conversation and switch is usually in a dom/sub bdsm context. Not saying that's how it is, but that's where I usually hear them used.

I was swimming with stingrays once and the guide was going over some rules and got pissed off at a seagull trying to grab the fish he was about to feed the stingray, and straight up punched it out of the air! It was hilarious!
