Indoctrinate, verb: teach (a person or group) to accept a set of beliefs [uncritically].

This is the wrong approach. Do not try to convince yourself to accept Catholicism uncritically. Be very critical.

Read the whole bible critically. See if you don’t find it silly.

Look at the priests. God can’t even stop his own spokesmen from raping kinds. That god seems pretty useless.

Realize that that thousands of gods have been worshipped, you have been indoctrinated to believe that yours, one out of thousands, is the only real one. You are literally one god away from being atheist.

It’s not anything to be afraid of. The realization that this life is important, and is the only one you get, is a fulfilling way to live. Be good because you are good, not because of threats of eternal punishment or reward.

Not the really the "same reason". Unless that reason is the in both cases, the binding energy per nucleon is increasing. So, for interested people, also look at the binding energy per nucleon curve. Fe is boring...but stable.

Fox paid out almost a BILLION DOLLARS in a settlement about their lies. That’s money that comes right off per share income and ultimately against dividends. Stock price is not not only, and often not the greatest, way that holders benefit from owning a share. Dividends are important, think income vs growth stocks.

You can get on the board and change it from the inside.

Based on this photo, it looks like it is failing in shear. It’s not a wood problem, it’s a design problem. The upper joint on the far right in the photo has clearly rotated and not a single brace for shear is visible. Think triangles and fix the design. It looks like this could be saved

If you have a demand water heater you should flush it annually. Learn to do it yourself. It’s not difficult and the one time equipment cost is less than you’d pay a plumber to do it for you.

Iceland’s independence didn’t happen on June 17. It is just celebrated on that day. Great fun day in Iceland for sure!

“Iceland's National Day, June 17, is celebrated every year to commemorate the establishment of a republic in Iceland in 1944. Before that time, however, the day also had a place in the hearts of Icelanders, because June 17 was Jón Sigurðsson's birthday (1811-1879), Iceland's main hero of independence. The day was chosen as a national holiday to honour his contribution to the Icelandic struggle for independence from Denmark.” https://visitreykjavik.is/national-day-iceland
