Saw a lightning bug crawling on the window and thought of a cool shot! Little guy was happy to fly away after.

Eating dinner out back while enjoying a nice, hazy sunset when I noticed these guys on track to drift by. Had to put down the fork and pick up a camera!

There's something nice about walking around the woods on an overcast day after the rains. A bit calmer and I find myself paying more attention to little details like these guys.

Visiting a new park today and saw these two snakes wrapped around each other in the back of a dimly-lit case. Never know what you'll see in those little educational centers...

Walking the trails and this guy settled down right by me. Liked the colors but I ended up liking the details even more!

Interesting sunset tonight on the lake - reminded me of a black hole with an accretion disk and all the clouds swirling around it.

A harsh thunderstorm this afternoon gave way to a really nice sunset on the lake. I dug the lighting on these flowers - they really popped!

After a wild thunderstorm the sky cleared up really nicely and gave a beautiful sunset on the lake. I really liked how these flowers looked in that lighting.

Nice sunset out by the lake tonight - looked wildly different every few minutes!

Not actually taken in July but it's catchy! I went on a longish trip up to see snow for the first time around the holidays. When I came back home to South Florida, the heat was incredible and there was a wonderful blue sky juxtaposed with all of the Christmas trees everywhere. I liked how I could see myself in the ornament, too.

I had an idea while visiting Crescent Beach here in North Florida, so of course I found myself wading too far out into the ocean, holding my camera over my head and hopping over waves to keep it dry. Luckily there was a sandbar out there and some nice waves breaking on it. I liked the light and dark split coming from one wave and the reflections from an otherwise calm ocean.

Got to experience snow for the first time this past winter while staying on Lake Michigan. I wasn't prepared at all for trying to take photos out there, but the lake started freezing and I really enjoyed walking the shore (while I could stand it).
