Mary Sue

Is this a reference to Saru? Because I would argue strongly that he does not meet the definition of the term "Mary Sue":

"exceptionally talented in an implausibly wide variety of areas, and may possess skills that are rare or nonexistent in the canon setting. [...] lacks any realistic character flaws"

Saru was gifted and possessed "rare skills" yes, but was not without character flaws. For starters he sided with Burhnam during her mutiny and subsequent imprisonment.

Yeah when someone complains that Discovery redesigned the Klingons but won't complain about TNG redesigning the Klingons then you can know that they don't actually have strong opinions about the concept of a redesign.

Finally, something substantial. I was worried this would be "Star Trek: High School Musical" but this trailer makes it clear this isn't just a Trek show for tweens and teens.

It says "for the purposes of cleaning image search engines" but also I'm sure the venn diagram of sites with AI images and slop sites with AI text are nearly a circle.

I make custom maps in Civilization that essentially turn it into a tower defense

I would prefer one that removed AI slop sites from search but I suppose if a site has AI images then it's for all intents and purposes slop anyway.

we really need an "ai critics" community that's better moderated

Immich actually uses machine learning to sort photos too

Note that r/coolguides is a very "normie" subreddit and may require extra handholding. There are a lot of people who don't seem to understand what "open source" means. Some looking for "The Lemmy app" etc. Be patient and helpful!
