The man has stage 4 cancer, regardless of the election outcome it was the right thing for Biden to step down.

To expose your services easily and securely look up tailscale it's completely free and is setup per device, ex download on your moms phone and you can manage that phones access.

Tailscale uses wiregaurd and some weird ass NAT magic to make every device have direct connections to each other creating a "tailnet"

It's a zero trust architecture so you have to whitelist every device on it. What that means practically is it's very difficult to compromise and that's by it's nature. You don't have to have a high technical level to be very secure using tailscale.

There is also twingate which I think is similar but I'm not as familiar with twingate

Lol someone hasn't actually worked with immutable distros. What precisely can't be layered on bazzite with rpm-ostree?

That's fair but tailscale isn't a traditional vpn, it makes direct connections between two devices. it was also designed to be extremely easy to setup and it's free for up to 100 devices.

Again it's fair if you don't want to mess with it

I love following this cause I hate Elmo muskrat, the stock is currently being propped up by the robo-taxi service tesla is about to launch. Thing is it already looks like it's gonna be a shit show and they've already said live humans will have to monitor them. I hope it launches, flops, and TSLA hoes though a decade of market correction in like a month.

I work in a factory in R&D, we are planning a factory out. What you are saying is absolutely true. After a certain point the tariff walk backs are irrelevant because big purchases have already been made which locks the choice in. This point has already been hit and upper management, hell honestly even vendor we talk to, has zero confidence in how everything will play out until trumps out of office.

Fair enough i was trying to have a more positive message but I consider the Reagan era to be the largest turning point for the US's decline tbh. Of course the 50-70s were horrendous if you were a poc but at least that was getting corrected in the 70s and 80s. Unfortunately while civil rights was making strides during that time Reagan started targeting those communities with the war on drugs. Once we started the new age slavery program (privatization of our punal system) the US started on this fucked trajectory. This is all just my opinion of course

Yeah there is, I get it though. I've noticed that in myself I have a much shorter fuse now. I try not to take it out on people because I recognize it's just misplaced frustration.

Part of the reason I made this post was to just let people get all of their vitriol and upset feelings out, if even a little.

It's of course not helpful to shout in the void but it also alleviates some of that frustration people feel. I thought it may be a bit therapeutic to give strangers a little spot to direct some of that negativity to.

Thank you for the kind words and your quotation perfectly sums up the response I'm trying to maintain in my mind, if only for my own sanity.

Not a parent but I read this and have my personal opinions, curious what others think about it.

Immutable Distro Opinions (www.linuxfordevices.com)

I recently took up Bazzite from mint and I love it! After using it for a few days I found out it was an immutable distro, after looking into what that is I thought it was a great idea. I love the idea of getting a fresh image for every update, I think for businesses/ less tech savvy people it adds another layer of protection from self harm because you can't mess with the root without extra steps.

For anyone who isn't familiar with immutable distros I attached a picture of mutable vs immutable, I don't want to describe it because I am still learning.

My question is: what does the community think of it?

Do the downsides outweigh the benefits or vice versa?

Could this help Linux reach more mainstream audiences?

Any other input would be appreciated!

I got this 180° adapter for my Steam Deck and it fits perfectly with a StylthGrip case on using the original charger.

The fit is tight but the charger goes in without any forcing. Couldn't find any info when I searched so I wanted to share.

Any 180° adapter should work so long as it has at least a 13.5mm gap between the two usb c ports.

Verizon is stopping support for message+ and says to just use Google messenger. Fuck that I hate Google, can anyone suggest an app I can use to just text people and send pictures that works on and offline?

You should never support the scumbags at Hasbro/WOTC if you are into tabletop games

So there was some speculation whether Valve delisted the 177 (now 180) countries to protect itself legally or if Sony had done it for Sony reasons. It appears that Sony has been confirmed to be the one who delisted it

I am currently on win10 but have been toying with mint and liking it. I intend on fully switching over soon. I have also been toying with the idea of some simple 3D modeling, like making custom parts for projects around my house. Maybe using a CAD software to generate stls for a 3D print or using it to spec out parts for a design made out of aluminum extrusion (like 8020) little things like that. I was thinking about getting a solidworks hobbyist license for 45 a year but solidworks doesn't support Linux. I could keep a Windows dual boot HDD, but fuck that. Any suggestions on a CAD software that fits? Have a gaming PC with a 3060 and some beefy hardware.
