I don't see the big deal about headphone jacks. If you really want wired headphones, stick a dongle on the end of the cable and leave it there. It's almost exactly the same, except you can't charge and listen at the same time - not really something I would worry about.

If you search from your own instance, I think it only shows the subscribers from your own instance. So browsing from lemmy.ml there might be one subscriber but on lemmy.world there would be 77.

True, I would argue that overall emulation increases brand awareness and promotes video games as a whole. Would the likes of Mario and Pokemon be as popular if the classic games were not readily available, especially 20-30 years ago?

Socialism is not the same as what's going on here. Socialism means you believe in good for the common citizen, not denying reality and wishing death and destruction on peaceful people.
