Step 1: Check is Calyx or Graphene is Availible

Step 2: If not, Pour Ethanol on it and watch it burn and buy a pixel (or a fairphone) with Graphene Pre-installed. There are lots of Monero Shops which do that

I really dont understand why people care so much about people stalking them, but if some company is stalking them it dosent matter.

The controversy you pointed out is about someone who was writing factually false information and feeding hate against people who should be covered under the freedom of speech. The ban happened during his life, and not years after he died. Therefore his works were not a peace of gone culture, but hate in the present of time.

If I follow your argumentation, that being that you should allow people write false information feeding hate against specific people just living their life in peace, you should be against censoring Hate speech against Lgbtqia+ people too, or the better question would be: where do you draw the line? At Jews? At queer people?

The changing the Books part hasn't been archived in the Catf wiki yet, but the non downloadable books is already fully written

Nö, nicht für mich

Ich habe mich dazu entschieden einfach in der Mitte der Straße zu fahren und keine Autos vorbei zu lassen.

Zugegeben, is net eine befahrene Straße, aber es ist eine Fahrradstraße

If you cant see it: the post above is about saving space by using webp and cropping and making the quality worse.

OK, tanks for clarifying that

Yes, it would be great.

[–] Luffy879@lemmy.ml 31 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Yes, but you say it like the Author himself changed it.

In the specific Example, the book is from before 2000 and the author is long dead. That book is a piece of culture now, displaying the writing style from a place in time where it was normal to discriminate against people. By changing a book, regardless of if it was actually amazon or just some manager that bought up the rights for the book, it is manipulating the Past. Amazon should not allow to do such things

Its just a bitter taste, thinking about how a few companies can lay words into the mouth of people they did not even say, years after they died

I would rather just have them Ban the books, because then you can see how they are manipulating the information you see.

But lets see the Positive side: Now the Nazis wont have to burn thousands of books, saving tons of co2 in their Plan to take over the world with propaganda. So, yay for the envoirment I guess

The kobo unes run Linux ootb, and they are as easy to install something like pluto on as an android one, but I still prefer them because I can do all kinds of shinanigans with the command line

Also if they are too expensive for you, just get a used one, as long as they have a backlight you can read just as well on them as a libra color

When the P30 came out, you could unlock the bootloader for 5€. That offer to unlock it was deleted not a year after it came out. And even if you could still unlock it, if I have to go to an external website to do it, let alone PAY FOR THE THING I BOUGHT AND PAID FOR, that thing is going into the trash.

Asking for a friend here:

You know Amazon. You know goddamn well, that Amazon has already made people rebuy books when you move from a state to another. What kind of fucking lobotomy did you get to still buy books from amazon? And how are you suprised that Amazon is doing this, already after inventing their own drm, e-book format, and making it as hard as possible to use their books on non kindles?

So, I am autistic, I dont really have friends except online, and i have a few other diagnoses like suspicion of schizophrenia and suspicion of psychosis. And, about once a year, I start walking down a hallway of insanity, ending in a big multiple day long paranoid attack- where I just lash our at someone and try to ruin their life because of some really insignificant thing. Last time I lashed out at someone because I misunderstood something, and I went down a paranoid spiral where I would try to ruin their life because I thought they wanted to ruin mine.

The time before I lashed out at someone and said that they were conspiring against me.

So, is there any way to prevent this? At least My therapist says I'm ok to go after the next few sessions. Also, I don't want medication or go to a clinic.

Arch is aimed at people who know their shit so they can build their own distro based on how they imagine their distro to be. It is not a good distro for beginners and non power users, no matter how often you try to make your own repository, and how many GUI installers you make for it. There's a good reason why there is no GUI installer in arch (aside from being able to load it into ram). That being that to use Arch, you need to have a basic understanding of the terminal. It is in no way hard to boot arch and type in archinstall. However, if you don't even know how to do that, your experience in whatever distro, no matter how arch based it is or not, will only last until you have a dependency error or some utter and total Arch bullshit® happens on your system and you have to run to the forums because you don't understand how a wiki works.

You want a bleeding edge distro? Use goddamn Opensuse Tumbleweed for all I care, it is on par with arch, and it has none of the arch stuff.

You have this one package that is only available on arch repos? Use goddamn flatpak and stop crying about flatpak being bloated, you probably don't even know what bloat means if you can't set up arch. And no, it dosent run worse. Those 0,0001 seconds don't matter.

You really want arch so you can be cool? Read the goddamn 50 page install guide and set it up, then we'll talk about those arch forks.

(Also, most arch forks that don't use arch repos break the aur, so you don't even have the one thing you want from arch)

If you think you have ever felt true fear, you havent tried Gentoo yet

Apparantly, YouTube has fully rolled out their blocking of residential IPs. Things such as Freetube do not seem to be affected.

Linux just gained another .13% usage, while Windows lost .23. Another win for Linux

Hello, I am looking for a 7 or 8 inch e reader which supports KOreader. I dont have to big expectations, it should just have a Touchscreen and preferably wifi so I can wirelessly transfer books to it. I currently use an old kobo aura, and ereaders based on Linux are pretty interesting to me, but i also dont really care if the device runs Android. Also, I would like to stay und er my budget if 250€

Hello, in the last months I habe taken an interest in the journey trans people go trough to be officially recognized as the gender they are and the surgical operations many go through to adapt their body to their Gender, how it differs in different states, and what can be done to improve this. Unfortunately (as you have probably read in the last sentence) I have no idea about anything regarding this topic. Therefore, I am asking if you know any worthwhile books, websites or any other resources where I can inform myself about these topics, preferably they should be in English or German, but I can just as well use a translator if it is any other language. Thank you for your answers in advance!

In order to be able to Further configure my system, I am looking for a fork of my current OS (artix with openRC as init system) in which i am able to compile every package from source in order to Further configure it with make flags. I am currently not using gentoo, and because the packages in its default repos are only updated when necessary, and the break-my-gentoo repo is more of a joke than an actual replacement for arch. However, if someone can recommand me a repo with similar package updates as arch, I would be looking at installing gentoo.

EDIT: Thank you for Pointing out to me that Gentoo can have newer Packages too. I did indeed not know this, and therefore just stamped off Gentoo as a stable rolling release distro. I will be looking at learning more about gentoo and eventually installing it, once I know how to use portage.
