Senate investigation is sadly partisan and doesn't mean much anymore. They'll find what they wanted to find.

Yeah, it was meant to be a joke. Practically it will have unequal impact based on whether you can wait until tariffs are gone to buy something.

Obviously with the caveat that it doesn't matter if you're not going in the ocean.

A lot of insecticides are poisonous to animals including mammals it's just that we have a mechanism that deactivates or neutralizes it immediately. They often target a basic metabolic process that is common across all life.

Within the hardened plaque it's probably pretty inert. But I don't know if there's any data on that.

You've forgotten supply and demand, if there's less stuff the stuff that's already here increases in value so it's basically the same.

If you haven't heard, coal ash, fly ash, isn't really a thing anymore since they discovered that the ash, similar to volcanic ash, can act as a pozzolan and be used 1:1 to replace carbon intensive Portland cement for concrete, up to half off the cement mix. Since then the ash that is now valuable has been used for that instead of just being dumped. The old stuff in ponds is less useful but might be used after some light processing.

That's the thing you do after 2080 when you have too much energy. Because you have to add in all the energy from burning it, and it's very unproductive.
