Thanks for the better article. Still wild how little restraint Israel is showing, even if this wasn't retribution. Though don't think they are above such things.

The choices at this point are a flawed one state uniting two bodies, or one state with a successful ethnic cleansing. Two state solution has been taken off the table by illegal settlements of the west bank and, soon, Gaza.

The old fascist tactic of accusing the other side of the things you’re guilty of.

Really telling on yourself here! Would be funny if you weren't so sad.

It's not that straightforward. Copyright is different in that infringement is only enforced by rightsholders through litigation. That means they hato find you, sue you, and make a convincing argument that your backup is harming their market viability.

On that last point, some personal backup is unlikely to be found to be infringing. It's more problematic if it's something shared or done in a significant scale.

Then they pretend to not see the predatory employers using and relying on undocumented labor to exploit. Honestly going after those profiting would be far more effective and humane, but clearly not the point for them.

Yes, but political engagement can't revolve around voting.

It's shit. You have to navigate a beurocracy and don't even always have choices down the ballot. And when you do, you often have no idea who the candidates are beyond some half baked Facebook page. It's also a huge burnout pit. Put months of stress into a binary outcome you can barely control. And even that is if you're engaged in canvassing and etc, otherwise it's just a chore.

Youth need to be mobilized in long term action projects. Something like Encode Justice for example, where they make civic engagement a part of their daily life, is far superior. It's also harder, but that comes with doing something actually impactful.

It is genuinely too difficult in some places thanks to voter suppression.

It's all subcontracted out now to limit liability, and the workers are understaffed

Nationalism is poison, no matter the nation.

While I don't know the case for this specific study, but you're assuming the vaccine is safe and works.

Generally though if it is shown to help they'll get it asap

This "failed state" Palestine would be the most free they have been in the better part of a century. Having a right of return, protections from illegal settlers, representation in the UN etc. The last free election in Gaza was also a narrow win for Hamas, and stability of statehood would be quite deradicalizing

Hell, even just control over their own electric, water, and internet access would be a game changer for Gaza.
