Think you've hit it on the nail on the head. It feels less like a chore because of the way they all connect with one another.
Although even before fast travel I still did a lot of manual travelling to get everything done. At least until I realised that fast travel was very likely to get better later in the game, which it of course did.
I've enjoyed all of the movies in the moment (except ant man 3) but a few I've liked less the more i think back on them.
Spidey 3, deadpool 3, falcon (mostly), Loki and wandavision were great at release and still are to me (i guess the jury is still out on deadpool with it being so new)
It looking like winter soldier is why I've been excited. I've also always liked falcon as cap so seeing more of that is always good to me.
