Paper towel companies literally funding research which paints hand dryers in a had light, or something like that

To be fair, the .ml version is the largest so you'll inevitably see a mix of both thoughtful comments, and horribly stupid comments.

I would recommend completely ignoring what Instance people/communities are hosted on

The casual moviegoer is a thing of the past. That's a big problem for Hollywood in c/movies@lemmy.world

Why would they release a product for free that costs massive amounts to run

IPhones' default photo format is HEIC, something that Windows doesn't open by default. in c/mildlyinfuriating@lemmy.world

JPG is not bad, but it uses more storage space for the same quality compared to HEIC/HEIF

Am I doing something wrong or does TrueNAS/Nextcloud not support HEIC images?

I'm not super knowledgable on this topic so unsure how to fix (if possible to fix)

The right edge of my trackpad is physically higher lifted than the left edge which feels quite sunken.

I've been going to the gym for a few months, still feel like a noob tho.

I track what exercises I do, weight & reps, etc, and try to rotate between the different exercises I enjoy.

However I don't do leg-centric days or anything like that, I just try and do a variety each week and not go too long without exercising specific areas. Is that bad?

I have one Android and one iPhone for fun and like to switch back and forth.

Due to this I largely prefer Telegram as Signal can't be simultaneously logged in on both. Is this feature likely in the works or is there something that inherently makes it difficult/impossible?

Does Samsung have an 'Adaptive Charging' feature like Pixel? (lemmy.ca)
 

Testing a Samsung phone after using a Pixel. When charging overnight, the Pixel charges to 80%, then pauses until soon before I have my alarm set.

Does Samsung have a feature like this? I don't see it

Bug: Scrolling sometimes causes horizontal post-swipe (lemmy.ca)
 

A minor bug but, often when I scroll vertically, I somehow end up registering a horizontal swipe on posts leading to a Downvote or Save.

Anyone else get this? I'm on a Pixel

Total noob, but I set up TrueNAS/Nextcloud on an old laptop and it's working great locally.

What would be the easiest secure way to access my files remotely from my phone and/or laptop?
