My wife and I would consider another kid if the fed wanted to kick us an extra $25k per year.

A one time fee of $5K is hilarious. You'd maybe be able to cover the hospital bill from having the kid with that sum.

Thanks! I hope the little dude appreciates it. It was a royal PITA to put up 😆

Cheers, and thanks. The baby is still 2 months out, and the cat will not have access to the room once they're here.

Lifesavers had a bowling game on their site that was actually a ton of fun and decent quality. All the balls were patterned to look like their candy, but still. It was free and that's where the advertisements ended.

It was a fair trade.

Edit: This might've actually been creamsavers, not lifesavers. It was back in 2002.

Things like this make it really easy for me to not buy anything from Ubisoft.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say " Fuck Ollie"

It isn't, but it drives clicks.

It's amazing how many times I see this same headline, year after year. It's always a dude, too.

It was basically three spud guns mounted on an adjustable base. It's fun seeing how high they go.

Sorry mate. I'm on the Voyager app and there was a huge delay in notifications.

This was basically three potato cannons mounted in an adjustable mortar formation. You could fire off three before having to reset.

I'm curious about what ESC to run in my beetleweight. It's going to have 4, 22mm brushed motors and a 460oz servo. The plan is to run twin ESCs on a shared receiver, but different channels, obviously. Do I need a BEC for this application if I'm running a single 3S lipo?

What community here could help me answer that? I belong to about a half dozen groups on FB that'd have me pointed in the right direction within 30 minutes.

Forums were perfect for hobbies. Facebook is a lousy alternative. Lemmy isn't even in the running.

I feel like I need Facebook. I used to belong to dozens of forums between RC cars, aquarium stuff, and robotic stuff. All but one has shuttered, and Facebook Groups are my only option to connect with people for my hobbies, especially locals. Even state clubs used to have their own forums.

It doesn't look quite as big with everything else around it, but it looks good next to his collection.

Man, the Speed Chamions series have really come a long way. My 6-wide F40 is one of my favorites on the shelf. It's got a type of charm that the 8-wide don't have.

That being said, I can't wait to park one of these next to my Countach!

It works too! I fit a movement in behind the face.

I didn't design this print. I modified the one that can be found here to feature my dad's initials on the watch face: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:619550

I'm jealous they just get to chill and lick themselves all day.

It almost looks like it was grafted or something. Does anyone know what's going on?

I watched this movie for the first time in at least a decade last weekend. I still enjoyed it as much as my younger self did.

It's pretty stupid, but it's full of 90s charm and Chris Rock.
