I love Trader Joe’s pot stickers!

Identify your food based on the location of structural starch. Is a hot dog a sandwich? No, it's clearly a taco.

Also I’m from Kbin.social. Please don’t defederate us. I’m only that mod from a few small magazines. I have no power but I don’t want to defederate you.

What if I prefer nachos to tacos? Can I still eat my nachos with all the taco filling as toppings??

As I've become a part of the Fediverse I keep thinking back to the Bobiverse book series and wanted to give it a shout out on here. It's a fantastic, funny sci-fi series about a man named Bob who gets his conscious uploaded as the controlling AI for a space ship.

I'll have to give it some time and see how things shake out. There are some growing pains with the Fediverse but I'd love a Goodreads alternative.

Can we interact with BookWyrm from kbin.social?

That's very helpful and makes sense. Thanks!

Hopefully we can add that to @ernest's ridiculously long and ever growing feature request list.

I recently subscribed to pensandpaper@lemmy.ml on kbin.social. I was the first person to do that as it was clear that the kbin copy was created with me clicking subscribe. It's not a very active community with only two old posts but the only way to see those is by going to the original instance that it's hosted on.

Is there a way to pull those two posts to the kbin version of that community? Or is it inherent to the Fediverse that things only start syncing with the first subscription on an instance and it's not retroactive?

Let me know if there is a better place to ask this question.

It’s definitely an interesting concept but then you have to define what constitutes a “duplicated” community. Do they have to share the exact same name? What if they are functionally duplicates but have different names (fediverse v fedi-verse)? What would happen if “trees” on Kbin is about actually trees but on a Lemmy instance it’s about weed?

I don’t have answers just questions. But I do like the idea of being able to abstract the instance that a community/magazines lives on one step further and make the topic the important part.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.
