You shouldn't have had to pay anything. I just put a "thaw" on mine two nights ago, which is a temporary unfreeze, and it was free with all three bureaus.

There's literally nothing stopping him from defending himself. What are you even talking about?

This literally is the rule of law and Adams has been breaking the rule of law. Jesus christ

Not sure how this would work as most corporations aren't isolated to a single state and they're the ones sending your tax dollars to the feds via payroll deductions. I see this as being similar to banks who won't allow dispensaries to have bank accounts since they're still illegal federally even if it's perfectly legal within the state.

The "they feel like it" would be for the next time not this situation. This is why it is important to nit create bad precedents like this

Considering the GOP is so good about following "precedent?" How absurd. This law is specific to NY so what other states are you referring to when you claim that other governors might do this too?

Are they siblings? I've had cats my entire life and it seems that they only ever get along well if they've grown up with each other. Adding a new cat hasn't typically worked out great.

A bunch on nonsense. There maroons think that getting banned from Facebook for making death threats is the same as the government imprisoning you for speaking out against genocide.

Not according to NY law, as there is no mention of a trial in the relevant statute.

Can you quote the specific law you feel is being ignored?

We don’t want to make it acceptable for a governor to remove a mayor because they feel like it.

"Because they feel like it?" Are you unaware of the charges against him or something? This isn't based on feelings it's based on the crimes he's committed while in office that he and Trump are trying to sweep under the rug.

[–] ShepherdPie@midwest.social 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

And what happens if those other governors remove mayors for political reasons anyway?

It's fucking insane how gullible some of these people are. I still spend time on Facebook and see a lot of their rhetoric and they'll literally post screenshot of TikTok videos from random people as proof of some massive conspiracy being committed by the "deep state" or whatever the current news cycle is telling them to hate.
