I know a friend who ran out of gas while listening to the audio book, lol. If that's not a testament to it's quality, I don't know what is.

Thank God. I wanted to come in and say that earlier, but no one else had. I figured most people in Lemmy wear this fit.

I went to Bible camp my entire childhood, can count the numbers of Sundays missed on a single hand my first 18 years of life, was a born again Christian, and a chaplain's assistant in the Army. If you want to measure bone fides.

If you claim to be "Christian" why wear a label that shows you're part of the problem?

So you're cool with gays? Neat. Understand evolution? Awesome. Accept that vaccines actually work? Good for you. Hell, you might even understand women are not walking incubators. You've met the bare fucking minimum for being considered literate.

I'm going to finish with a statement and a question. There is no heaven, when you die, you're dead. What is your heaven?

Sorry, you said 40%, but that's about 60% of people who actually show up to vote. 40% of eligible voters stay home and cry about our unfair election system in the U.S . While feeling smug about letting unchecked fascism take over as a consequence.

If they can lie about the company and position, I can lie about my experience and fit.

Absolutely. Shouldn't be where I am, but I feel like the world is full of gullible people.

Burt, really. It just felt forced in my opinion and you could have driven the story without it. It could have been the acting, but I didn't buy the attraction.

It was a double tongue in cheek from Marie Antoinette's "Let them eat cake." And the literal there won't be any flour.

He's also able to be deported. He's committed federal crimes, smoking marijuana, on camera. Which, if I'm following the news correctly, is grounds to denaturalize him.

Text from article:

David Rice, a disabled Army paratrooper who has been on probation since joining the U.S. Department of Energy in September, also learned Thursday night that he had lost his job.

Rice, who has been working as a foreign affairs specialist on health matters relating to radiation exposure, said he’d been led to believe that his job would likely be safe. But on Thursday night, when he logged into his computer for a meeting with Japanese representatives, he saw an email saying he’d been fired.

“It’s just been chaos,” said Rice, 50, who had just bought a house in Melbourne, Florida, after he got the job.

Rice said he agrees with the Trump administration’s goal of making the government more efficient, but objects to the random, scattershot approach being taken.

Alt Text: A screenshot of two posts on Lemmy in continuous scroll mode. Top post is a quote from George Carlin saying, "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers." The post immediately after is a group photo of Moms For Liberty, a radically stupid and racist group of KKKarens smiling with dead eyes.

I feel my Canadian friends use the right amount while my American friends are too conservative.

The "startup repair" Macrium offers is garbage and won't even load, so while I have all my data, I don't have an OS...

I appreciate any insights!

Thanks for this beautiful app! This is the only missing feature that's a tiny tiny bit annoying.

Near Canyonlands National Park, this feature creates a remarkable 180 degree bend out of the land!
