I’d go with ElementaryOS, it is a solid intuitive desktop which will serve most people well.

I’m a big fan of Elementary OS, it’s likely the most user friendly desktop, easy to use and plenty of advanced features, such as thoughtful options to make the interface usable by everyone.

That depends, if you are nice white people, then you might well be welcome, while my Brazilian wife with a post doc and experience in renewable power grids can’t get a job interview to save her life, despite those being in demand skills. My fellow Danes are racist as fuck.

Elementary OS.

I really like the focus on delivering a solid, intuitive and snappy desktop environment. It is absolutely what I recommend to newbies, who are looking for a Windows or macOS replacement.

If I recall correctly, they rejected a patch to make their documentation inclusive, rather than assuming that developers were all male, calling it a political crusade. It’s not so much a political problem as a sexism issue.

Knowing better and Philosophy Tube are both rather good as well. I do miss Casual Criminalist from YouTube, otherwise Nebula has my bases covered.
