Fair. But if tech illiterate people can fake reality now, what happens when the tech educated start doing it on purpose?

Truth has been edited before for sure in history books, photos and entire lives. The difference now is anyone can do it.

They used to say “don’t believe everything you read.” Now it’s “don’t believe anything you see.” Has the age of misinformation now become the age of manufactured reality?

Deception isn’t new but soon anyone can fabricate proof with AI. Plato’s cave isn’t a metaphor anymore it’s a feed. When everything can be faked, what’s left to believe? What happens to meaning when nothing is real anymore?

Someone should do this on the dark web. Start a music industry on the dark web with no copyright rules and no money, just bitcoin and pure inspiration without stupid rules.

I like his beard it looks like a billy goat.

You rarely hear anyone cover the Beastie Boys. Is it because their songs rely so much on samples that they’re impossible to recreate legally without making a profit? How did they not get sued into oblivion with hundreds of samples used? Where do those royalties go today?

You just have to adjust the engine to run unleaded, should be an easy fix.

The original WWII Willys Jeep was as simple as it gets, no airbags, no seatbelts, no electronics just steel and guts.

It was a light and tough 4x4, easy to work on and you could fix almost anything with basic tools. You could tear the whole Jeep down in less than 5 minutes.

If someone tried to build one today, same size, same style, could it actually pass modern safety and emissions standards?

Or would the rules make a true “modern Willys” impossible?

Curious what engineers, mechanics, and everyone else thinks. It would save people so much money.

No but seriously, can anyone answer the question?

Nope, although i am a fan. Best Province in the confederation in my opinion.

I haven't heard anything since August. I take it it was stopped as I don't see any news reports about it.

Israeli navy is moving to block a flotilla carrying aid toward Gaza. Activists onboard are demanding humanitarian access, calling the blockade illegal. Reports say the ships are being shadowed as they approach. Situation is still developing.

Reports coming in that the U.S. federal government has officially entered shutdown. Which services get hit first? How long does this drag out? Who blinks?

(Live updates welcome)
