I cannot fathom how some people are so bothered by what others choose to do. It has ZERO effect on their life. If someone else being LGBTQ+ negatively effects your relationship with God, you are the weakest Christian of all time. (And I'd imagine would go to hell)

TBF I don't think a system of thousands of referendums would be much better. What I take bigger issue with is the electoral college, but I don't have a good solution in mind. Popular vote wouldn't be much better, especially because of how it would affect campaigning.

That's the most healthy way to have a positive impact on the world, imo. Thats what the human mind is best designed for.
