Come on over to /m/bsg when you do! We’re planning on having a BSG rewatch discussion sometime soon!

With out the “miniseries” you go in without any context as to what’s happened to humanity, no? Like, doesn’t the miniseries set up Roslin as president and explain her cancer? Without details like that I would just be confused going into “33”.

My cliche unpopular opinion is that Battlestar Galactica is a more interesting and well thought out story/universe than Star Wars.

Sony isn’t just a gaming company though. They sell all kinds of home electronics and cameras. They also have their entire film and music divisions, not to mention their banking any insurance subsidiaries. Nintendo is the only platform holder that is just a gaming company.

You make a good point about the blow to creative freedom. Exclusivity doesn’t seem to correlate with innovation anymore (sans Nintendo). Even if you look at Sony, with its massive lead in quality first-party exclusives, the majority are gritty narrative third-person action games. They are easy to market because they have a compelling story, are mechanically simple to appeal to a wider audience, and are relatively short to lower the commitment.

Consolidation will kill creativity in the long term. Just look at the post-Disney MCU/Star Wars film industry. Games will surely follow, given the way things are headed.

Edit:
Disclaimer - Just my opinion and I play on PlayStation/Nintendo/PC.

Crazy idea, but maybe we just shouldn’t allow big ass companies to buy other big ass companies.

For real though. I already have an app that does everything, my lovely #FireFox ❤️

Far Cry 6, Rogue Legacy 2, Inscryption among the titles to be added to Game Catalog in June.

There's a linear action game in Final Fantasy XVI, and it's the highlight of the experience. But standard RPG tropes slow it down. Still, it's a Final Fantasy worth experiencing.

With the way things are headed, #Discord might actually become a viable competitor to platforms like #Twitch.

On KBin we have the ability to add tags to posts. These can either be directly added using the ~~“pound” sign~~ octothorpe, as in #KbinMeta. You can also add tags using the “Tags” field when creating an article, link, or photo. The second method will append the tags to the end of the post when the post is federated.

This is invaluable for your post to be seen on other platforms, especially those without any algorithms, such as Mastodon.

KBin magazines can also have tags associated with them. This will associate content from the Fediverse that uses those tags with the magazine. Also, very useful for smaller magazines.

If you want to view content related to a specific tag, you can visit <Kbin instance>/tag/<name of tag>, ie: https://kbin.social/tag/kbin

Pleas tag you posts!

Edit:
Fixed some controversial terms: octothorpe

Discord wants to help you monetize your server.

#Mastodon has a feature where it’ll consolidate all the most linked to URLs in its explore tag. It doesn’t take you too any toots about the discussion, but shows that something similar is possible, even with federation involved.
