Whether she realizes it or not, that is homophobic in my opinion. I might be too sensitive, but yeah. She might not be consciously trying to or realizing it, but I feel like she should work on her reactions. I have heard of queer people who don't like seeing it everywhere, and it could be anywhere from internalized homophobia to just not wanting special treatment, but I feel like she should work on that because it sounds a LOT like homophobic popular girls' reactions in my old high school...
I will be patient with this one queer teen I knew even if they bullied me. She might not know better but she thinks she's one of the "good lesbians". And that LGBTQ+ people are evil with an "agenda". I don't talk to her anymore because she blocked me and thinks that Latinos are evil and that they're all illegal. What a shame, her grandma is actually Korean and came to the U.S.
But yeah, I hope she changes her ways.
Don't delete it! I love hearing others' perspectives!
Thank you so much! :D
Thank you so much! I actually knew a queer MAGA person who was very "I'm one of the good lesbians" and also anti-hormones for anyone, even adults.
I think so. I feel like if they have queer friends, a cishet MAGA person MIIIGHT change their stance, but they also might be very discriminatory. Since I, however, dealt with these thoughts and had my first crush on a girl around that time, I started acknowledging it and talking to more queer people and changed my stance. I also became friends with a boy whose parents came to the U.S. undocumented, so when I found out how hurt he was by my opinion, I began researching what they do to immigrants.
I was a girl then, now genderfluid transmasc :)
This was... mmm, 3-ish years ago as I now have graduated high school. I know, it was terrible :,)
Che cazzate, no?
I also had just come from Gym class one day, so I once said “Estoy caliente” instead of “Tengo calor”. The Spanish speakers taking it for extra credit laughed at me…
Still homophobia IMO...
