To use a different atrocity as an example, the Japanese saw the Chinese as “pigs” during the Nanjing Massacre.

It’s easy to see how dehumanizing your enemy has an effect. Here is an excerpt from The Rape of Nanking by Iris Chang.

there were those in the imperial army who saw the Chinese as subhuman beings whose murder would carry no greater moral weight than squashing a bug or butchering a hog. In fact, both before and during the war members of the Japanese military at all levels frequently compared the Chinese to pigs. For example, a Japanese general told a correspondent: “To be frank, your view of Chinese is totally different from mine. You regard the Chinese as human beings while I regard the Chinese as pigs.”

I’m not reading all that. Sorry for your issue, or I’m happy for you. Whichever you prefer.

It is a new women’s promotion from Los Angeles. They had their first shows in September.

Based in Los Angeles, Genesis Premier League will have its At Any Cost show on October 5.

The company boasts that it will be “a new era in women’s wrestling” and had its first event on September 13 & 14.

From a WrestleTalk article about Leyla Hirsch, formerly of AEW. I was curious too and had marginally better luck.

Ford named a truck Maverick, too.

The Ford Maverick car was kind of a cool-looking car in the late 70s. But they turned it into the most generic vehicle possible.

It’s way more about anatomy than inadequacy. Many women can’t orgasm from PIV sex.

Personally, I am always delighted when someone I’ve just had sex with wants to orgasm in my presence. Never once hurt my feelings.

It has been remarkably useful! I keep trying to tell people about it but apparently I am just their main use case or something.

I would have loved it when I was using Samba to share files on my local network decades ago. It’s like a Swiss Army knife!

rsync can sometimes look similarly scary! I very clearly remember triple-checking what it’s doing.

rclone works amazingly well if you have hundreds of folders or thousands of files and you can’t be bothered to babysit a portal.

Tangentially, I don’t see people talk about rclone a lot, which is like rsync for cloud storage.

It’s awesome for moving things from one provider to another, for example.

That is very cool! Thanks for sharing.

It hadn’t occurred to me to use a phone as a controller, great implementation!

It was more of a rhetorical because of the second sentence, but it’s clear you didn’t read that far.

Is lemmy.ml chock full of dumbshits?

I turn everything off in Firefox’s new page except search! I always found the news stuff distracting too.
