Australian users are already reporting they can't actually find the "classic" option at all.

you are both correct and fatuous, which is an ideal combination

assume that in the past 25 years everyone here has heard the gospel of RMS

the catch is when you really need specifically O365 for some reason, e.g. we had to get the O365 download version for my kid's schooling because that was the specific version the "this is how you do office shit" classes were taught against, the online O365 didn't cut it

of course even the teacher was telling the kids "look you should just use libreoffice" lol

"brb going to make an AI blockbuster called 'Zennos Parhadox' starring Dwynne Johnson and Rebeca Fernugson and then we'll see who's laughing." -- Dick Trauma, SA

another obviously correct opinion from Lucidity

I followed these steps, but just so happened to check on my mason jar 3-4 days in and saw tiny carbonation bubbles rapidly rising throughout.

I thought that may just be part of the process but double checked with a Google search on day 7 (when there were no bubbles in the container at all).

Turns out I had just grew a botulism culture and garlic in olive oil specifically is a fairly common way to grow this bio-toxins.

Had I not checked on it 3-4 days in I'd have been none the wiser and would have Darwinned my entire family.

Prompt with care and never trust AI dear people...

WE DEMAND A CORRECTION TO uh various minor nitpicks

also we swear we totally didn't get your email

bonus from thread:

I am having a lot of fun on Manifold, but if the team insists on inviting eugenics speakers to conferences, its probably time for me to leave :-/

What exactly is your objection to people exercising their bodily autonomy to implement voluntary eugenics?

Need to make a primal scream without gathering footnotes first? Have a sneer percolating in your system but not enough time/energy to make a whole post about it? Go forth and be mid!

Any awful.systems sub may be subsneered in this subthread, techtakes or no.

If your sneer seems higher quality than you thought, feel free to cut’n’paste it into its own post — there’s no quota for posting and the bar really isn’t that high.

The post Xitter web has spawned soo many “esoteric” right wing freaks, but there’s no appropriate sneer-space for them. I’m talking redscare-ish, reality challenged “culture critics” who write about everything but understand nothing. I’m talking about reply-guys who make the same 6 tweets about the same 3 subjects. They’re inescapable at this point, yet I don’t see them mocked (as much as they should be)
Like, there was one dude a while back who insisted that women couldn’t be surgeons because they didn’t believe in the moon or in stars? I think each and every one of these guys is uniquely fucked up and if I can’t escape them, I would love to sneer at them.

Women have two niches in life: looking beautiful and making babies

The first niche will be taken by sexbots

The second by artificial wombs

Society will suddenly realize it doesn't need women and those in power will quickly start replacing and disempowering them.

People like to consider the positive implications of technology but they don't like to consider the negative implications

The smart strategy for women would be to ban ALL of the following:

  • sexbots
  • artificial wombs
  • trans women

Nobody except women should be allowed to look sexy(feminine sexy), look female or bear children.

To some extent TERF women like @jk_rowling are smart enough to realize that it's essential to defend the female monopoly on this stuff. But the average woman just isn't strategic enough to go along with this, and there's (as always) a collective action problem so you get defectors.
