Nice, thanks for the suggestion! Distilling is illegal where I live and goodness knows I don't need yet another hobby right now but I love learning about it!

Buckin Billy Ray - interesting videos about cutting trees down and servicing chainsaws. A little bit unchained (excuse the pun) in a wholesome way as he seems to randomly intersperse his videos with positive affirmations like 'be kind' 'love your friends' which is kind of wholesome

Way out west - an older English guy living in the West of Ireland making things like a railway for transporting garlic

I did a thing - a hilariously unhinged aussie bloke

James Hoffman - for coffee. And hames joffman also

Karl Rock - travels around India/Pakistan exploring the places

Mike okay - travels to really off the beaten track places like Iraq.

Maximus ironthumper - many videos, the project kermit series is him rebuilding a land rover defender from scratch

Still it - distilling and making spirits

Was really disappointed when that one came out.. His stuff was great up to that point but now it feels... It's got an ick now.

Reading a book in English class. Had a high school English teacher that was out sick half the time and spent literally all of the remaining time they were actually in to teach us, reading through the assigned novel for the curriculum. (barely 20% of the curriculum overall) I was/am an avid reader so had the novel finished on my own in about a week and a half and got bored of listening to the terrible accents and voices being attempted by the teacher so Brought in my own book from the library and hid that in the cover of the prescribed novel to read. Teacher caught me and sent a letter home to my parents. Absolute nonsense!

You make a fair point but we can't let perfection be the enemy of progress on this though, the stakes are too high.. Better to get the movement off the ground and down politicians throats so they take it seriously. The details we can work out as it gets to the point of being taken seriously by European Parliament

Yeah but that's not including a primary residence or any salary based remuneration. So if you take that into account then it's entirely reasonable as a starting point. It also states that the calculation would be influenced by cost of living in a given country so places with HCOL would potentially be a larger amount.

Don't forget as well, it would likely be modeled on progressive taxation therefore any tax of this nature would only apply on anything above the €1.25M proposed figure

The rich can leave if they want. They can't take their assets with them so we can tax the shit out of their assets while they pack their bags. The whole point of this is redistribution of wealth. This isn't targeting a doctor or lawyer or some other highly paid individual earning six figures, this is targeting the truly wealthy, People hoarding generational wealth

This type of shit is the reason we're fucked, not because the average consumer. Isn't recycling hard enough. Companies should be held responsible for their fucking waste streams and severely fined if this type of thing happens. It's their responsibility to ensure it gets disposed of or reused or whatever in an environmentally safe way.
