in some sense we already use technology that makes use of a subjective reality
because of quantum mechanics the universe can't be locally real, therefore quantum technologies would fulfill that requirement in my opinion
if that's the case, we already use technology based on subjective reality all the time. quantum mechanics is the basis for how some transistors work, utilizing quantum tunneling
probably you're right, I haven't yet done the research to understand how to use them properly or know the difference (iirc proton is wine modified by valve but that's about as much as I know), I haven't had time to look closely into it
that reminds me of this "women of reddit, what's the sexies sex you've ever sexed with an overweight gamer?"
I'm not sure if it's better to play native linux games than to use wine
some games I tried, the native linux version had broken lighting, while the wine version worked fine
also with wine all your saves are in the game folder, and it doesn't make a mess by saving files wherever the developer thought would do the job
also it's easier to find the latest version for windows than it is for linux
oh, so you still believe in the moon?
the thing I don't like about fairphone, just like any other phone, is that upgradability is still impossible. I wasn't able to find any information about it when I checked, which is an indication that it's not possible, otherwise they would probably use it as a marketing point
I think the focus on fairphone is more on sustainability and repairability than upgradability
maybe it'll become possible with a future fairphone, or the mikrophone project, or another group
smartphone manufacturers have almost no common standards, they are made to be bought and then disposed of instead of upgrading the specs
it's impossible to do stuff like upgrading ram which would be very easy on a computer, and every smartphone has a different cpu
companies are doing their best to keep the open source guys out of the game, which in my opinion would solve a lot of the issues if this weren't the case
I want a smartphone without ios or android but just plain linux, which should be upgradable and durable, possibly with open source firmware and that kind of stuff
I had only ever seen the last panel, I didn't know there's more
I love autism, the world is a better place because of it
people being angry at nuclear and wanting to go back to coal are the worst
I'm sad for what's happening over in Germany
