I made a tofu press and have some Howard butcher block conditioner on hand. Is that enough for a finish or do I need something more?

Almost exclusively buying second-hand through grailed the last few years. Takes some effort like going to a second hand shop, but I find great deals on new or gently used brands I couldn't otherwise afford

I think "the purpose of a system is what it does" is going to get a lot of use this administration

There's something reassuring to me about hacks like this (also standard Tempo experience?). Borrowed a friend's truck last week and he have me a list of things that might seem like problems but not to worry about

I still do that in my fiesta. Easier than kicking out a passenger

A friend in HVAC told me each person produces 350 btu of heat on average

That's the same age difference between me and my dad, and bigger than my mom and me. And I don't want to date someone more than 5 years younger/older

Same. My skillset and interests align with being a house spouse, not making money. Single tho, and trying to make a beautiful home while working full time leads to many compromises

Hm, there are some players who are somewhat of a PK specialist, yeah? Would the players who aren't often offered the privilege of regularly getting to play the PK skew the result? I'm mostly interested in the consequences of penalty-prone players.

Hahaha, I tried a few different variations and couldn't get something concise. I guess technically someone could be serving a penalty assessed to a goalie, but the goalie still wouldn't be in the box.

Also not a stats/capitalist/math guy, but a couple years ago I came across this paper "Pulling the Goalie: Hockey and Investment Implications."

The modeling is far beyond me, but when down one goal "The crossover point comes at 6:10 remaining. So, at 6:20 you should not pull the goalie, but at 6:10 you should." And two goals they say pull with 13 minutes left.

Their explanation of their model helps somewhat, and I'm sure the math is all very interesting to someone who gets it.

Casual hockey fan here, mostly a Red Wings fan. I've been failing to find a stat that shows how many power play goals are scored for each player who gets a penalty. My thought is, if your team is scored against while you're in the box, your team needs you and it was a costly penalty. Conversely, if your team is not scored against while you were in the box, they can play without you just fine, so go ahead and take a penalty.

Does this metric not exist? There's stats for power play goals scored, of course, and each team's penalty kill ratio, but I want to know whose team can most and least effectively kill the penalty per penalized player.

EDIT: I'm also curious about "retributive power play goals" For example, player A gets tripped by player B, and player A then scores on the power play.

Seems like established technology with common metals fabricating a simple mechanism. What differentiates a relatively inexpensive, contractor-grade faucet from one that costs anywhere from double to 10x the price?

How do y'all decide the balance between dead heading for more blooms or letting flowers go to seed for the benefit of local birds?

I have one of the few flower gardens on my block and the only native garden, so pretty much all of my flowers produce beneficial seeds and I want to support the birds, but it would also be nice to get more blooms.

She was barely tolerant of my bugging her for a closeup

I'm in southeast Michigan, hardiness zone 6b, and I'd like to add a small or mid size evergreen to my yard for some winter interest, any suggestions?

I also have a large yew I'd like to replace with something comparable to maintain a little porch privacy, I'm thinking either a smoke bush or witch hazel, any others I should consider?
