I thought I did a pretty great job with this GIF. 29 seconds at 12 fps at 400x225, coming within a few KB of Fedia's 5.72MB upload limit. It's worth the optimization if this reaches someone who needs to see it. There's just one catch. If you look any deeper into Mechrot's portfolio, they usually inflate...um...people. But hey, if that's your thing, you're welcome.

That's goals for me. If you're not supposed to use magic for fun, is it really magic?

This is Joel Pett's cartoon for the USA Today on December 13, 2009. It's the highlight of his career, and yet still it hasn't reached the people who need to see it most.

Interesting: so Nitter instance links are OK here. I added an xcancel link where the Xitter link used to be.

Done; crossposted here. 😊 Good job finding this! Friedbaens has many accounts, but as far as I can tell, they only posted this one on Bluesky.

OK, that one's really cool. @FloatingIsFun@fedia.io needs to see this. Want to crosspost it?

[–] hitstun@fedia.io 3 points 2 weeks ago

Oh? OK, it's removed. It's a shame so many artists used to use that site as their primary social media before they went off the deep end. This art is the only reason I still find myself there.

You're mostly right. Fewer, bigger balloons means less balloon material to hold the same amount of helium.

However, Valentyna barely has any midair control at all. She relies on basically jumping in the direction she wants to go, or the crowd pushing her the right way. Maybe if she pulls down one of her balloons and holds it closer to her, she could change the balloons' angle of attack while jumping. Strategically let go of that balloon to make its line go slack for a split second, letting her drop a few feet. That's probably the extent of Valentyna's control.

If anyone in the theatre has an air vortex cannon, they could control Valentyna's flight a lot more than she could.

I first read "Xian" as "fan of Xi Jinping", and then this comment would have made sense. But no, Joe Rogan claims to have become a Christian.

Here's the final round. Honestly, the robots did better than I expected. This is fun, but I think we're 5-10 years away from CCP giving these robots guns and deploying them against humans.

I saw ~~somewhere~~ on her Telegram that the show is 7-10 minutes long, plus 20 minutes of interactive bubble activities. It's only $185 USD, but that's assuming she can get to you from Kaliningrad, Russia.

I'm an Mbin and Mastodon user who just registered on Sharkey yesterday. Sharkey looks fantastic, and my troubled Bluesky bridge finally works properly! Even Mastodon polls work. I'm impressed!

While I'm migrating over there, Sharkey has been frequently going down for minutes at a time. At these times, lemmy.blahaj.zone is still up and running great, but blahaj.zone is unreachable. I really hope I'm not putting a strain on the instance with my shenanigans.
