Oh good point. That's likely what happened

This is all anecdotal but I signed up for the icogni family plan since my parents are boomers who are seriously tech illiterate. After signing up, it seems like I've gotten more scam texts and calls, at least initially. I even got a scam letter twice from the same scam. So I would just save your money.

It's possible that they are doing what they advertise and getting your name off databases but maybe the act of requesting that makes those companies send out your info to another data broker.

Wasn't aware you could mod a Kindle. What does doing this do?

Does anyone know if using Calibre will be affected by this change?

Back in the day, I let my younger brother and cousins play GTA Vice City in my room. They never played the story but would enter cheats and compete to see who could get the most stars and survive the longest. They were 5-7 years old haha. In retrospect, not a good move on my end but I was only about 15.

I think this was the problem. Downloaded it off the play store and tried to update it from Github. Totally forgot haha. I guess I'll wait until the update goes live on the play store

Tried updating the voyager app on Android but I get this error message. Going from 2.24.0 to 2.24.1

Any help is appreciated!

Fair point. Well, he'll balance out the other two then. It'll be like drugs (I assume), two downers and one upper

Let's be real. We're all NPCs so if any of the men are from something with action, we'll probably end up dead. My pick would be Bob Ross, Mr. Rogers, and Steve Irwin. Super calming and chill

Unless you play competitive online team games. Then your stress and anxiety go up even higher.

I swap between my speakers, headphones and IEMs. Good way to keep your ears from feeling too hot (from headphones) or fatigued (from IEMs). For most listening I use speakers but if there are other people around, I'll use my headphones since they're more comfortable and sound better than my IEMs.

I think part of the problem is that people see the same grammatical mistakes repeatedly and think it's normal; especially since it seems most of the written content people consume is written by the average person and not edited (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram etc). So they honestly don't know what's proper or not.

For example, I've seen multiple YouTube shorts in which people pluralized words by adding " 's" to them. Someone I met recently thought the same too.

Not sure if there's a solution since grammar and spelling aren't things people care about. Can't force people to have better written content if their viewers don't care or know any better.

I've got a lot of devices that need to plug into an outlet at my desk. Right now, I have 2 surge protectors completely full.

I wanted to get a smart surge protector to auto turn off/on devices I don't want left on all the time (ex: speakers, monitor, DAC/AMP, printer). But the smart surge protectors have fewer outlets than my current one.

My question is, how do you manage your outlets when you have a lot of devices that need to be plugged in? I don't want to have 3 surge protectors plugged into the wall. I'm already drawing a lot of power in my home office with my mini fridge also plugged in (on the opposite side of the room).

I've also heard of something called UPS. Would that be better than plugging it into a surge protector?

For those curios, the devices I have are:

  • Two monitors
  • Speakers
  • DAC/AMP
  • Router
  • Modem
  • Printer
  • Ethernet Switch
  • PiHole
  • Solar panel monitor
  • NAS
  • Landline phone
  • Backup external hard drive

I wanted to get my mom YouTube Premium for her birthday but don't want to pay the ridiculous annual price for my country (especially since she mostly just watches YouTube shorts). She uses an iPhone so trying to get adblocker would be too much of a hassle, especially if it stops working. She won't be able to figure out how to fix it.

I've tried using account sellers in the past but the last one I used had some issues and now I can't add my mom's YouTube account to a different family account for another year.

I am able to use a VPN to buy premium for cheaper from a different country but they require a credit card for that country. Is it possible to get a virtual debit/credit card for different countries?
