No harm, I didn't mean to ask for your apology. You didn't do anything wrong and thankyou for making sure people don't fetishize mental illness. I consider all your comments respectful.

Having thought on it I do think my drawing is probably too direct about it for something lacking a context I haven't added. I think I should have waited until I made some more associated writings so that the nuance in my mind about the topic would have carried across better. Sorry for any distress.

Cable management is the first one I did put of this set! Got through a big migraine just before I started drawing these. I'll keep my thoughts about quintessence a secret, people seem to like the mystery of it.

I'm sorry to hear that. You have my sympathies.

This is inspired by disco Elysium which uses things like drug addiction in positive and negative ways. None of the skills are intended as purely positive or negative, I just use that name because that game had also. I think there are things people suffer from that can make them uniquely better equipped for enduring some circumstances that they fight daily that many people couldn't handle (not that it is a positive aspect in majority).

And not that it matters to me, but the only reason I felt comfortable including it is because it is part of my life and I have been bullied for it. Yes, if I had cancer I might also put that in as a skill too.

Hm, the intent was that this was more a mindset than an actual exoskeleton, but the picture would indicate a sci-fi one if literal about it. Would you prefer insectoid?

Maybe I could do an insect reskin of the skills, I do like drawing little bugs. Ammotidia instead of photogrammetry, antennae sense instead of antenna array, flight trajectory instead of imu...

Thanks. A few are on the chopping block to be replaced but none of the ones you mentioned.

🔝🥀⌨️🔍choices of someone who has the compulsion to know what is going on, I suspect.

True, I forget restricting choice is always annoying. Was trying to coerce people into picking those that might be perceived as less useful but it's better to let them do what they want.

🍄⚡🦾📷 Your choices make it sound like youre ready to take on more than anyone should!

Thanks. Were that other comment made to me last year it would have decimated my self-esteem and willingness to share, but your comment might have salvaged it a little. Luckily at this time I'm in the mode where only a normal person amount of fucks are given.

Oh sorry. I know it's not the most polished it could be but thought zooming would be sufficient. I'm not really good with colour also.

No regrets on the font though. Iosevka monospace always.

You can pick one skill from each row, and they can't be from the same column.

Interesting, I was thinking people would rank the opposite, but your ranking makes sense as it is also in order of my familiarity with the tool. I'm still learning to use digital and colour, I hadn't noticed it was distracting me from the information density of the actual narrative contents. Digital makes it easy to add things in, I think I'll revisit them when I finish their associated stories :)

Thanks! I've always liked narrative paintings and wanted it to be dissectable, each one puts me in a narrative setting of a story I made (or have yet to make) so cross-referencing should mean the meaning isn't completely obscured, hopefully. And I did struggle a lot with getting that facial expression the way I wanted good to hear it works!

I actually made some little animations with blender grease pencil a while ago, love it a lot but animation's hard. Made my own 2d cloth simulated extension for the parachute one.

I've also taken to importing my Inkscape drawings in and adding little animations bits too sometimes.

Do you use grease pencil for static images or animation much? What kinds of things do you do in Inkscape?

which style do you prefer?

I really like the ones you've been posting lately, great use of limited colours! Is the colour done by some sort of marker? The way you do reflective bits and lighting with it is really cool. And are all the characters part of the same imagined world or do they each have their own little story?
