Yeah im probably wrong, i might have confused poppinkream with the guy who posted on publicfreakout all the time since I spent a lot of time on that sub too.

It feels like theres some astroturfing going on. I just cant believe so many people are ok with federating with facebook. It shouldn't even be a debate,

Thats it though, if everyone watched some of that when they start driving maybe they would be more careful. Probably good for some and bad for some.

Like in the machinist world its good to see the videos and pictures of the accidents.

Maybe I remember that sub through rose tinted glasses but i dont remember it hating people for being fat. The negative traits being hated on were things that fit a stereotype that happens to exist among people who are more likely to be fat.

Its probably good it doesn't exist anymore, there were some really well written stories though, it was like the bad roommates sub.

I miss watchpeopledie, it was humbling.

Communities on lemmy, magazines on kbin. They’re the same thing. Instance is the server you join to view and interact with the magazines and communities. Your instance is like a small chunk of the fediverse pie. With our powers combined we are a federated pizza in a box with the lid open. Sometimes some olives may fall off but they’re usually still in the box.

Have you seen this one?

@workreform

[–] lemonh3ad@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago (4 children)

I don’t know about all that, I just don’t think it’s smart to put effort into a new place to discuss work reform and make the same mistake and call it antiwork again.

[–] lemonh3ad@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

Content on r/antiwork turned into just hating on companies for anything at all. Sometimes there are negative things an employer has to do which is understandable if you look into why they did what they did.

If people want to just hate on anything that revolves around working I guess a community called antiwork is the place to be. If I remember right the antiwork sub started as more of a work reform sub, got popular and shifted to just shitting on employers and had that dumb mod go on Fox and make everyone on antiwork look like fools. That’s when I switched to the workreform sub.

It’s ok for both antiwork and workreform to exist, I just hope a community called antiwork doesnt try to become the main workreform community again since there’s an opportunity for a fresh start.

What would happen if everyone downvoted everything when sorting by new on Reddit?
