Caring for the needy isn't charity, it's making sure they aren't needy. Promoting entrepreneurship isn't companies popping up left and right doing Uber but for dogs kind of idea, it's solving the world's biggest problems with new ideas.
You can't guard society against the excesses of capitalism because capitalism promotes corruption, artificial scarcity, and waste of resources by design.
With this being said, to change how the western world acts we must recognize that the party system exists to sustain itself and we won't have real change if we don't change it for power to be given to real people and not career politicians (or build guillotines)

Over 25 years ago, during the dial-up era, there were many computers compromised with certain worms that would open up your computer for remote connections. One of the possibilities when connected was to download the system saved passwords including those for the dial up software. I had many, many, such logins saved including corporate and education ones, with no time caps. During about a year I would only pay for the phone call, not for the internet service. Simpler times.
A private company shows up that gets federal funding while the space agency gets funding consistently cut while having to support multiple, multi-year, billion dollar projects.
A private company whose survival is 100% reliant on government money.
