When I was about 8 years old my aunt told me she returned a belt to the store because the buckle wouldn't fit through the belt loops in her pants. I'll never forget the look on her face when I told her to put it through the other end first.

This is also exactly my situation. I worked hard for my dream job and now it doesn't feel like work but a fun game instead. I know that's not the case for most, and I'm grateful for it.
I do hire people for my department, and want to give them the same opportunity to be happy. It's really hard to find someone who is as excited as me for what I do. It's not so much they don't want to work, but they don't want to work HERE.

The problem with horizontal is that the cardboard of the boxes on the bottom of the piles will eventually bend and tear over time. Permanent damage is worse than jumbled components so I think the concensus is vertical is best.
