I purchased this Apex Alchemy Summer Sample Set a few years ago. These are more along the lines of a novelty soap. Each a different color of blue, red, or, as in today's pick, green. The scents are all way too sweet. Grēn River is not quite as bad, and it smells a little like Fruit Loops to me. Fortunately, I had forgotten about these and they were still in my den.

Today's theme soap Fitjar Islands' Slåtterøy has the following scent notes: Citrus, Chamomile, Cedar, Coriander, Bay. Unfortunately, I don't have any Fitjar Islands soaps in my den, so it came down to finding enough scent note matches.

I finally settled on the Dior Fahrenheit for Men dupe Stirling's Alighieri with 3 of 5 scent note matches: leather, cedar, sandalwood, vetiver, musk, amber, nutmeg, tonka bean, citrus, lavender, chamomile, and florals.

Theme soap match. Nice!

While I don't have Don Marco, I do have a sample of Razorock's For Chicago, which is a dupe of Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme. The lather was on par for an Italian croap, and the SLOC made for an enjoyable shave.

Stubble Buster is not a brand name that I was familiar with previously, but it's a brand created by the artisan behind Chiseled Face. Járnviðr is a new-to-me scent. It's a sample that has been sitting in my den for a little while, and that's a shame because it's so good.

Stubble Buster Coastal is a dupe of Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme, and Razorock had a similar dupe in For Chicago. I think this is what I'll use for tomorrow.

Edit: I see the argument for using the Artisan for past and present brands, but for me to stay consistent with past artisan selections that stayed on brand, I'm changing from Artisan points to Scenter points. I think there is a general consensus that Ron scented the Stubble Buster soaps. This removes 1 overall point and entitles u/Priusaurus to a correction bonus point tomorrow.

The first and last shaves with a GEM blade are always the toughest. To be fair, it's been way too long since I've used the MM24. It was overall a great shave with Stirling's Ozark Mountain.

It took long enough for LatherBot to come around to Stirling, but no British Leather in the den unfortunately.

February's BVWSC sample generously came courtesy of @gcgallant@sub.wetshaving.social, who has selected some top tier soaps for us to try. This month's selection is no different. Dragonsbeard is a warm, woody exploration of oud, and I thoroughly enjoyed the shave.
